Access to a UK GP 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during your trip
This option provides unlimited access to a private GP helpline whilst you are on holiday, enabling you to speak to a doctor in the UK at a time and place that suits you. The GP’s can provide reassurance, advice and sometimes diagnosis which can prevent an unnecessary trip to a doctor whilst on holiday.
This is a separate and additional service to the medical expenses and emergency assistance service provided by our travel insurance as standard.

The UK Virtual Doctor Service is designed to provide support and advice for more minor ailments and medical situations which are not considered to be an emergency, but for which you feel some advice or support would be helpful.
Fully qualified, UK based GPs are available by phone 24 hours a day, or via video eConsultation on Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 10pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm, Sunday 10 to 6pm (GMT).
No registration is required and all consultations are secure and confidential.
In the event that you want to speak to a GP, simply call any time of day or night to speak to a specially trained operator who will take some details and arrange for a GP to call you back at a time which is convenient.
If you are calling for a video eConsultation, the operator will ask for your email address and send you a link to the webcam service. (Please note: you will need a broadband connection and a smartphone/tablet/computer with a webcam to use this the video service).
